TRAVEL HACK: Park City Vacation Tips to Save Money!

It’s time for a Travel Hack Video filled with Park City Vacation Tips to Save You Money! Whether you want to travel to Park City, Utah for vacation or if you want to do a Utah Staycation, there are lots of ways to save money traveling. These tips will even help those out-of-towners who want want to come up for the Sundance Film Festival & need some tips for the best resort in Park City.

You guys asked for more TRAVEL VIDEOS, so here is one from this past weekend’s Memorial Day staycation. And it’s filled with last minute travel tips too!

✨ITEMS MENTIONED IN THIS VIDEO:

Hyatt Centric Hotel in Park City: Sign up for Hyatt Gold Passport (their hotel rewards program) and you’ll be offered cheaper rates. You should get $5- $10 off a night just by taking a quick second to do that.

Groupon Getaways: New Getaways typically go live on a Tuesday or Wednesday. There isn’t always a hotel deal in Park City. But they happen a lot! If you are new to Groupon, head here and create an account: http://themeleashow.com/Groupon Then click on “Getaways” at the top.

Jetsetter: Get an extra 5% off rates through this link: http://themeleashow.com/Jetsetter I’ve found that when the hotel I want is sold out on other sites, Jetsetter still has a few rooms left at the rate I want! It’s my secret weapon, when I need it!

HotelTonight: Search your app store for HotelTonight and download it. Make sure to use code MJOHNSON883 and you will get an extra $25 off your very first booking. We’ve used this service a number of times for last-minute staycations all over Utah. You can use them on hotels all over the country though. So take advantage of slashed rates for last minute traveling.

VRBO: http://themeleashow.com/VRBO For bigger groups or families, VRBO.com is a much better option most of the time. Rent a vacation home or condo instead by searching and booking through them. TIP: Keep tabs on cleaning fees and any accidental damage fees. Each owner has different prices and terms that can change the total price.

AirBnB: http://themeleashow.com/Airbnb Another awesome vacation rental site. Works very similar to VRBO.

Visit Park City Website: http://themeleashow.com/PCHotelDeals They list pages of special deals, coupons and discounts for different hotels located in Park City.

✨FOOD TIPS: Grab discounted gift cards at Costco or Sam’s Club for places like Ruth’s Chris for a nice night out. They also have other gift cards for less expensive restaurants as well.

Try to find a deal on a room that has a kitchenette or kitchen and cook at your hotel. You can do this for part or all of your trip–depending on how much money you want to save.

Remember that places like Dominos, Papa Murphy’s, etc all have regular discounts and coupons. 🍕 And who doesn’t love a pizza night?

✨ACTIVITIES: If you are going to visit Tanger Outlets in Park City, then ask Shopper Services if they have any coupons available they might be able to give you. (If you ask nicely, they will usually hand you a few!) You can also spend $5 to get their most recent Coupon Book. Or you can pay $10 to get a Membership and get a special birthday gift, free things like Tanger Gift Cards with purchasing tiers, exclusive offers mailed right to you they don’t offer to regular shoppers and more. **If you are lucky, you can check the Park City Visitor Information Center to see if they have the pamphlet that will give you the coupon book for FREE! Then you can still save lots of money without having to pay $5. However, this time around I did opt to get the membership because I realized it was a “LIFETIME” membership–not yearly. And $10 for that and always having exclusive deals, coupons, a BOGO coupon for the Utah Olympic Park & a birthday gift was perfect for us!

✨PARK CITY VISITOR INFORMATION CENTER: This is my first stop off the freeway EACH TIME we go to Park City! Run in and grab any coupon booklets, advertisements or pamphlets with discounts. You’ll even find discounts to the Utah Olympic Park!
