Episode 71: First look at FigJam by Figma: Can it Replace Miro, Mural, or Whimsical?

FigJam is the recent development from the Figma team – meant to challenge the industry giants such as Miro, Mural, Whimsical, and other workshop-oriented apps for UX and product designers. A question I’ll try to answer in this first look at this tool is if it stands a chance to compete with those power tools. Knowing that they pack tons of features that we as designers, UX researchers, and strategists can’t imagine our UX discovery, product feature ideations, and other design workshops to be run, this is a tough ask.

Note: we’re not affiliated with Figma, this is an honest impartial take.

In this new weekly UX design, user research, and product design tools series I’ll share some of the best picks I’ve encountered to date. You’ll find out about the best apps, extensions, websites, and other helpful tools.
