0:00 Install Power Automate Machine Runtime
To create a connection between Cloud and Desktop, you need the Power Automate Machine Runtime application. Microsoft Windows 10 or 11 Pro is required. You need to upgrade (cheap) if you have the Home edition. To install the Machine Runtime, re-install Power Automate Desktop. Remember to tick Install the machine-runtime app to connect to the Power Automate cloud portal.

Search for the Power Automate Machine Runtime in your start menu, then specify your environment (go with default).

Click Monitor and then Machines to view your machines.

To run a Power Automate Desktop flow, we use a Run a flow built with Power Automate for Desktop action. Connect directly to the machine and enter your Windows domain and username. Then, specify your flow, and if you want, it attended or unattended.
