Is GRID LEGENDS the VR racing game the QUEST 2 NEEDS? …NO! // New Quest 2 Gameplay

Was I too harsh here? GRID Legends VR is easily the ugliest Quest 2 game I’ve ever seen but the issues and problems don’t end there, this is a VR racing game that doesn’t feel like a VR game at all. It is instead a low resolution port of the PC/console release of GRID Legends squashed onto the Quest 2 hardware, with no interactivity or consideration for any of the systems that set VR apart from flat gaming this isn’t the Quest 2 racing game that I was looking for at all. Menus, cutscenes and loading screens are all presented as flat floating screens as you sit in a black abyss, the only 3D visuals are found in the races themselves but it’s hard to become immersed when the game looks this bad. I really wanted GRID VR / GRID Legends VR to be the first proper VR racing game for the Quest, and in a way it is…if the VR racing game you were looking for is just a flat game ported into a VR headset.
