What Is Decentralized Finance (DeFi)?

Decentralized finance (DeFi) is an emerging financial technology based on secure distributed ledgers similar to those used by cryptocurrencies.

In this video I go through my Top 5 defi projects:-

AAVE – Is a DeFi lending protocol that allows users to borrow a wide range of cryptocurrencies, with the option to use both stable and variable interest rates.

LIDO – A Decentralized Autonomous Organization (DAO) that enables users to stake their ETH without locking assets or maintaining infrastructure. It provides liquidity for staked proof-of-stake tokens by issuing 1:1 tokenized versions of staked assets to users

GMX – GMX is a decentralized exchange best known for its focus on perpetual futures trading. It was launched on the Ethereum Layer 2 network Arbitrum in late 2021 and has since been deployed to Avalanche. The platform became popular due to its high leverage options of up to 30 times the deposited collateral

PENDLE – Pendle Finance is a Decentralized Finance protocol that allows users to tokenize and sell future yields. It helps the users to generate additional yield and to lock-in future yield upfront, while offering traders direct exposure to future yield streams without the need for underlying collateral

uWu Lend – UwU Lend is a decentralized non-custodial liquidity market protocol where users can participate as depositors, borrowers or LP stakers. Depositors provide liquidity to the market to earn a passive income, while borrowers are able to borrow in an overcollateralized (perpetually) fashion. LP stakers provide liquidity and receive revenue share when staking their LP tokens.

The last one is a very degen defi project and it could ALL GO TO ZERO! I was looking to get back into a defi project and that’s why I bought AAVE and started staking it for nearly 5% APR. I was also looking for an ultra degen play and that is why I’ve included uWu Lend in there.
