Transforming a Guest Bedroom/Office with IKEA and Argos Furniture | DIY Makeover

Welcome to my DIY guest bedroom and office makeover! In this video, I’ll show you how I transformed a spare room into a dual-purpose space using affordable and stylish furniture and decor from @ikeauk and @argos . From IKEA’s LINMON desk and BILLY bookcase to the Habitat Akio bed from Argos, and the beautiful PINK 01 paint from @Lick , I’ve created a functional and inviting room. Watch the step-by-step process, get inspired by the mood board, and see how you can achieve a similar look!

To start, I chose the subtle and sophisticated PINK 01 from LICK paint for the walls. This shade creates a soft, welcoming ambiance that is perfect for both a guest bedroom and a productive office space. The carpet installation made a significant difference, adding warmth and comfort to the room.

Next, I assembled the versatile LINMON desk from IKEA, which provides ample workspace while fitting perfectly under the sloped ceilings. The BILLY bookcase from IKEA offers essential storage for books and office supplies, keeping the space organised and clutter-free. I also added the stylish VEDBÄK rug from IKEA, which ties the room together with its modern design.

For the windows, I installed IKEA Lenda curtains, which were an affordable alternative to expensive custom window treatments. These curtains add a soft touch and enhance the room’s cozy feel.

The centerpiece of the room is the Habitat Akio bed from Argos. This bed is not only comfortable but also fits seamlessly with the room’s aesthetic, offering a great place for guests to rest.

Throughout the makeover, I aimed to keep the design minimalistic and calming, ensuring the space remains functional for both work and relaxation. There’s still more to be done in the next phase, including adding window dressings, paneling, and additional decor to complete the look.
