METHODS (in order):
1. Go to settings } Apps }Clear storage & cache data } go back to your WhatsApp and check if it worked.
2. Unistall WhatsApp & Install it again, check if the issue is resolved.
3. Go to settings} about ChromeOS }Additional details} channel- stable }then Unistall Whatsapp & update your pc on the STABLE channel, Install Whatsapp again & the issue should be resolved.
4. Reset the PC or device.
