Now we know that chromeos is end of life and ggole plans on replacing future iterations of chromeos with android. Whether or not this is going to effect current chromebooks is unclear. What is clear is that google wants to replace the large screen experience of chromeos for android and google feels like android can offer a comparable laptop experience with a better application ecosystem. What is equally interesting is that we can see is that googles favorite OEM samsung currently has a desktop flavor of android, samsung dex. Samsung dex for those of you who dont know is the samsung desktop experience. DEX has been a feature of samsung devices for a while now and i would say that samsung dex is one of the premiere features on adnroid tablets. Thats because samsung dex has tweaked the user interface of android in order to make it a little bit more friendly to a mouse and keyboard along with a large screen.
