Google Pixel Buds 2a Review | Smart Budget True Wireless Earbuds
- 2025.10.13

Reviewing Google’s Pixel Buds 2a, a sound pair of true wireless earbuds on a £129 budget. Packed with ANC smarts, Gemini support and some of the best battery life of any TWS I’ve tested in 2025, the Pixel Buds 2a are decent value. Of course, they won’t please audiophiles, with a lack of dedicated codec support.
That design is comfortably compact and lightweight, so you can wear these things all day long. Helped by the excellent battery performance, which provides over ten hours of streaming – if you turn noise cancelling off. The Google Pixel Buds 2a also offer excellent touch controls and full customisation via the app. Or, the Bluetooth settings if you have a Pixel smartphone.
The Pixel Buds 2a are also great for making or taking calls on the go, thanks to the smart noise cancellation for the mics. However, if you’re after a pair of True Wireless Earbuds in 2025 on a strict budget, you might want to check out rivals from Nothing (and their CMF branch), OnePlus etc. Lots of good ones out there!
